TREO

HOUSE

SUSTAINABILITY

COLLECTIVE LONDON

PASSIONATE ABOUT CHANGING THE SYSTEM FOR THE BETTER?

WE'VE GOT YOU

We exist for the people giving their time and energy to improving the system that we all live in. Whether you work in climate, nature, pollution, health or social issues, you'll know we need some pretty big systemic changes in society, and fast. Yes it's scary. Yes it sounds impossible. But are we going to try our hardest? You bet we are.

We're also realistic. Changing societal systems is not easy. Being a changemaker is not easy. Thankfully, we have loads of awesome people just like you, working in all sorts of jobs, who care about these issues and are doing everything they can to make the world a better place.

Treo House is your safe place, to connect, evolve and re-energise, so you can get out there and make change happen.

We host events.

We host a regular variety of intimate events that bring people together with intention; workshops, guided group discussions, speakers, film nights, book club, mentoring, community suppers, wellbeing classes, adventures and retreats.

That develop capabilities.

We're all about developing the human capabilities required for systemic change; courage, curiosity, resilience, creativity, optimism.

And build community.

All of our events are hosted in-person in our home in Oval, London. A sanctuary in central London that allows for actual friendships and authentic conversation.

OUR
HOME

Our cosy home in Oval is just 10 minutes from London Waterloo. A light and spacious warehouse conversion, it's an inspirational and calming environment. Our events are hosted in a variety of our spaces including a cinema style auditorium, a movement studio, an outdoor courtyard, a large dining and living room, workshop spaces and even a pottery studio.

DOING IT
DIFFERENTLY

Not for profit.

No shareholders, no sponsorship bias. Member funded and member led.

In-person only.

We're bored of zoom calls, online webinars and big WhatsApp chats. Let's get together and properly talk.

Real people.

Our members are humans, not job titles. We're swapping out lanyards and prompt sheets for showing up as our authentic selves.

Structured events.

No more small talk in a cramped Mayfair pub. All of our events have a focus and facilitation.

Fun.

We take the problems seriously, but we also value living joyful and healthy lives.

OUR BEGINNING

FOUNDER'S STORY

Gemma Lannon

Treo House was born from personal experience. After just a few years of working in corporate sustainability, my morale was flagging. I was a fresh environmental sciences grad, passionate about doing everything I could to change the status quo of business for the better. But trying to drive systemic change is tough. Honestly my body needed a break, my health was suffering. Knowing I had a long career ahead, I decided to pause and work out how to find balance between my impact and my wellbeing.

I needed a support network; people who could relate to my passion, wondered about the same big questions as me, and knew how it felt to work on enormous, scary, complicated problems. I also wanted to learn as much as possible about effectively changing systems and develop the personal capabilities to be able to do so. This is why I founded Treo House. I figured if I needed these things, then other people might need them too.
